Deadlines done, now time for holiday and relaxation. I dedicated yesterday to my tired old feet and the tv-series Homeland. It might continue this way the whole Easter through :)
I am a big fan of pedicures. I actually prefer the D.I.Y. versions to the salon ones, for many reasons. One of them being my silly ticklishness. Another is that I have yet to experience a really good one (pedicure, not tickle!). I am also a multitasking maniac, so yesterday, while my feet were soaking, rye crackers were cooking in the oven and Homeland playing on the telly. Amazing!

I got a nice bunch of Sixtus-products from Appleheart: a foot soak, a lovely foot cream (can I please point out how underestimated foot cream is!) and this AMAZING foot file (if you try it you'll understand). CND does the brilliant toe separators that you see in the photo, they are just plain strips which make them easily adapt to any wonky toe- and foot shape ;) And I think these products altogether cost less than a single professional pedicure.

Then both my hand- and toenails got a protective base coat of Nailtiques Base Wear Protein and two licks of '308 Rio' Protein Nail Lacquer before I finished off with Top Shine top coat (this one's not quick dry, so if you're in a hurry I'd choose a different top coat such as this or this). Followed by rye crackers and cheese for lunch, plus another Homeland-episode, this was a very good beginning to a very lazy holiday :)
