I usually do posts on stuff that I personally love, but this one is more a patriotic praise to the successful clothing and lifestyle brand Moods of Norway. Like every major fashion house, ‘Moods’ have finally introduced frangrances to the line, and now one of them can be yours!
The land of the midnight sun, fiskeboller and trolls hasn't seen many designer success-stories like this one. Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen, the men behind the Moods of Norway-concept since 9 years ago (soon joined by Stefan Dahlkvist), combines norwegian history, culture and traditions with a range of fun, colorful clothes, watches and accessories (let's not forget to mention the tractor shaped waffle-iron!). The launch of the Eau de Cocktail perfumes on 1 December was both predictable and absolutely inevitable, and these are, like the rest of the range, both available at the Moods of Norway webshop and in stores all over the world (click here to find your nearest)!
Eau de Cocktail Pour Femme
With norwegian ingredients such as blackcurrants and wild strawberries, combined with foreign fragrance notes of peach, bergamot, orange blossom and cedarwood, this Eau de Cocktail-perfume has a very girlie, sugary smell. The rose heart notes definitely puts it in the category of classic, feminine scents. To my nose it is slighthy reminiscent of the Escada summer-fragrances - perfect for those sweet hot sunny days!

Eau de Cocktail Pour Homme
The male version, Pour Homme, contains pepper, satsumas, pineapple and geranium, and like Pour Femme it also carries the notes of cedarwood, moss and bergamot. This is, in other words, a fresh, fruity scent that is not too masculine, and even suitable for girls who like unisex fragrances. I actually think this is the best bet if you are a girl looking for a new, different kind of scent: a little more exciting and original since it's not launched as unisex version.
