Madonna, Queen of Pop, has finally jumped on the celebrity fragrance wagon, and in April she launched her very first perfume. Considering how the 53 year old has been reigning music charts and been a style icon for more than thirty years, I am surprised how on earth this didn't happen sooner!

Madonna has always been obsessed by fragrance, and for years she has wanted to create something personal that was an expression of her, but that also something that other people could relate to.
Truth or Dare is a modern recreation of her mother’s perfume. She died when Madonna was a little girl, but the memory of her mother´s smell has always been with her. With Truth or Dare, Madonna wanted to recreate this flowery gardenia and tuberose based scent with a modern touch. Something honest, yet daring. In addition to the flowery top notes, base notes of vanilla, caramelized amber and musk has brought the contrast of light and the dark and innocence and provocation to the perfume.
It is aimed at women between the age of 25-45, and being main target myself, I am going to share my personal view on it: it is a wearable, inoffensive white floral, which I could happily wear if I didn't already have a handful of favourites ;) You should definitely check it out though, my sense of smell could be very different to yours!

I really wish Madonna had launched perfumes in the first two decades of her career, when her style was truly unique and everything was a bit more fun!
