Some of you have requested a 'make up favourite' blog post. As last day of Easter was spent organising and cleaning my nail colour bags, I thought I'd parallel this boring chore with something much more fun: taking pictures and making a blog post! So here you go: my Oslo nail polish kit, including must-have classic colours and this season's favourites!

Baby pink and lilac

Red and orange

Green and turquoise

Happy yellows

Metallics

Nude and neutral

White

Brown

Blues, but not the moody sort

Special non-descrips

Purple

More pink!

Black
FAVOURITES!

Every kit should contain some classic must-have shades. These are my 'can't live and work withouts':
Fresh coral: Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish in 09 Diva Coral
Classic red: IsaDora Wonder Nail in 182 Summer Red
Deep burgundy: Essie Nail Lacquer in 737 Masquerade Belle
The perfect nude: Dior Nail Polish in 219 Safari Beige
Transparent white: Essie Nail Lacquer in 5 Allure
Brown coffee: Organic Glam Nail Lacquer in Latte
Opaque black: Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in 16GD01

And every kit and makeup bag should naturally contain some bright fun colours and season's trends. These are my current favourites:
Linda Johansen Nail Candy in 287 Sea Mint:
Such a delicate light sky-blue with a hint of green
Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish in 20 Mellow Yellow:
A lovely pale pina colada shade, spot on for the popular pastel trend this season
Make Up Store Nailpolish in 901 Stina:
This soft peach is simply gorgeous
Essie Nail Lacquer in Pink Parka:
Neon pink, one's gotta have a crazy colour or two :)
Essie Nail Lacquer in 201A Bobbing For Baubles:
A deep blue-grey colour that looks supercool with both jeans and pretty dresses
Essie Nail Lacquer in 207A Navigate Her:
A springy lime green. This one's from the Essie Spring Collection
Chanel Nail Colour in 607 Delight and 597 Island (out May):
Next season's big trend: hot metallics! No kit is complete without the most recent Chanel-shades, right? ;)

The perfect manicure needs a good base coat, a quick dry top coat and a finishing nail oil. As long as the nail polish brush is the right size, any brand and any colour can look immaculate with the help from these 3 friends:
Essie Rock Solid Ultra Strength Base Coat (apply prior to nail colour)
Linda Johansen Nail Candy Speedy Top Coat (this one should come on after two coats of your colour of choice) (don't worry, it dries in minutes!)
CND Solar Oil Nail & Cuticle Conditioner (once all colour has dried, brush the nail oil onto your cuticles, and try to repeat at least twice daily)
And to finish this post, I thought I'd mention some very inspiring nail blogs:
