So what’s it all about? It’s about looking perfect, but like you’re wearing nothing at all. It is also great as a starting point to any other makeup look that you want to go for: add bright pink blusher, a pillarbox red lip, loads of smoky eyes or a bold liner. This look goes with everything, buy is also stunning in its own right. I did a little demonstration for Style TV, so please keep reading if you want to see the video and products that were used for this very wearable look!

Now, I am not a superstar speaker, you see, I normally don’t have to explain what I do. Anyways, I find the best thing is to just observe what’s going on, and for you non-Norwegian-speaking readers (and for those of you who find my mumbling slightly annoying), mute the sound and read my little step by step guide here :)
STEP BY STEP GUIDE WITH THE PERFECT PRODUCTS:
Step 1: Creme de La Mer
Start with applying a moisturiser appropriate for your skin type. Inger Helene has sensitive, dry skin, so Creme De La Mer is ideal for her as it is ultra nourishing and soothing. Let it absorb for 5 minutes or so, then continue with the next step.
Step 2: Lancôme La Base Pro
This silicone base smooths out the surface and protects the skin. A small amount is enough to give your base a porcelain-like finish. I love applying this with my hands.
Step 3: Giorgio Armani Face Fabric Second Skin Nude Makeup SPF 15
This natural foundation is like a dream come true. It has a semi-velvety texture and leaves the skin neither dry nor dewy. In other words: perfect for a no makeup-makeup :) I apply this more or less all over with a foundation brush, focusing on red areas (in the film it looks like I only apply it to one cheek). I don’t want to cover up Inger Helenes beautiful freckles, but I still want to even out the redness in her skin, so gently I work my way all over. Keep in mind that the product is not supposed to show whatsoever, so blend well.
Step 4: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I continue with my favourite concealer. This covers blemishes and circles, and I totally recommend using a small brush for application so that you get it only where you need it. If you still have red spots or areas after the foundation, use this carefully where you want more coverage. And again: blend and blend again so that you can’t tell there’s any product on. Nobody's gonna tell that you've had to cover up any flaws, cause this is what you look like without any makeup on, right! ;)
Step 5: Laura Mercier Secret Brigthening Powder
I smooth out the concealer well underneath the eyes before I set it with this lovely, slightly radiant powder. It is perfect for the eye area, as it brigthens up and gives a nice lift to the eyes without really showing. I also set the face makeup with a regular translucent powder (this one also from Laura Mercier). This step is crucial so that the shading powder in the next step will glide on without causing blotches and discolour the concealer. But be careful so you don’t apply too much: a dry chalky face is not what we’re aiming for!
Step 6: Babor Super Soft Duo Blush in the colour 1- Terra
So now the face is like a perfect blank canvas, and we are going to bring back its shape and structure. I mainly use the darker side of this Babor powder - it is fantastic for adding shadows to pale skin (however, I think the lighter ’highlighting’ colour is too dark for highlighting, so I ended up not using that at all, although it could be very nice on the eyes). Generally when it comes to choosing the perfect shading colour, steer away from the colder shades, they can often end up looking 'dirty'. Bronzing powders can often be too orange and shimmery, but a matte, warm brown is always a safe bet. Use a medium sized soft brush and basically enhance the shadows of your face. To make it simple and flattering for everyday use, focus on the areas underneath your cheekbones (not on, but under!), in your socket line, a light swipe under the eyes and also the neck and a wash on the ears. Apply it along the hairline too if you want to make your forehead appear smaller.
Step 7: MAC Eyebrow Pencil + Make Up Store Mascara Brush
Bring out the natural shape of your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. Brush the hairs upwards and outwards and set with a brow gel. You can also spray some hair spray onto a mascara wand if you don’t have a gel, it does the same job!
Step 8: Billlion Dollar Brows Duo Pencil
To enhance the eyebrows further I apply a light skincolour underneath. I avoid a shimmery colour as it will look more like make up than a matte one. I also apply this brilliant pencil to the Cupid’s bow, gently along the upper lashine and also in the inner corners of the eyes (this part has not been shown in the video, but it is a very important step as it makes a huge difference to brigtening and lifting the eyes - just see the impact it gives in the final headshots in the film). Step 9: A black mascara
I add mascara only to the roots of the upper and lower lashes. If the mascara wand is on the larger side, dip a small synthetic eyeshadow- or liner brush into the mascara and literally paint the colour carefully onto the hairs. If your eyelashes aren’t naturally curly, use eyelash curlers before you start. This will open your eyes further.
Step 10: Jean Paul Gaultier Monsieur Lip Balm in Tawny
Last step is adding a natural colour to the lips. Use you fingertip and dab on a neutral, moisturising balm. This one from Jean Pau Gaultier brings out the lip colour just that little bit, but there’s an ocean of shades out there that would be equally nice!
